So I went to Hard last Friday night with my friends and let me just say, it was a hell of a lot of fun. I saw a lot of my friends and met some new cool people. I'd have to admit, there were some advantages and disadvantages of it not being a rave-rave.
I'll start with the disadvantages: The people there were notttt PLUR, man hahahaha I mean, I'm not 100% devoted to the whole PLUR thing, but you can at least be respectful of the concept. People were not saying "excuse me" while walking through the crowds. They staright-up had bitter attitudes and I am reminded of why I left the LA party scene in exchange for the happy happy rave life I live right now. Another thing that sucked was that I couldn't just go up to anyone and start talking to them. I'd go up to someone and try to start a conversation, but they'd just look at me like I was some kind of dumb ass, most likely assuming I was on ecstasy. Just to make it clear, I wasn't. Mehhh :/
Now with the positive things: At actual raves, if I get excited for a song and start dancing hardcore or look really happy, I get looked at like I'm an E-tard, when I'm really sober and just super happy and into it. Here, a lot of people were sober, thus making it look like I "fit in" more.
Anyway, the highlight of my night was being in the veryyyy front row at Justice's set. If you were there, you know they had a fake Justice along with them. The one that was supposed to be Xavier had a camera and took pictures of the crowd. Me being in the front, got like 98378953 pictures taken of me. I have no idea where I can look at these pictures, but I'm just fucking happy they got some of me. They even played We Are Your Friends and had confetti blowing over. It was AWESOME.
Overall, good night.
